Payson Scottish Festival
We will be performing at the 24th Annual Payson Scottish Festival on Saturday July 6, 2007 at 11:00am on the bandstand. This is our first trip to this popular event and we are excited to experience it!

Utah Scottish Festival & Highland Games
Visit www.utahscots.org for full information. Dorian Mirth will have a booth for costumes and music on Saturday, June 9th from 9am to 5pm. We will perform on the Show Barn stage at 4pm and 6pm. Tickets are $10 for all day up to 7pm. A package of six tickets is available for $40. Also, a limited ticket for the Barn only is available for $5.

Scottish Festival
We are proud to announce that once again we have been invited back to the Utah Scottish Festival and Highland Games at Thanksgiving Point. We will have a booth for selling costumes and CDs during the day with a performance on the Barn Stage in the late afternoon. This is exciting as we were not able to play music at last year's festival so we are glad to be back! More details to come.

Tolkien Festival
Into the West presents Tolkien Festival 2oo7! Saturday April 28th at the University of Utah. A plethora of events is planned, for information visit their website. Dorian Mirth will be part of several panels including costumes and music and will be providing music for various evening entertainments. Come and spend the day in Middle-earth!

We are still here
Really, we are. We are all investing in the future, one may say, with two members going to graduate school, a new baby born and others seeking their own fortunes here and abroad. Unfortunately, there is no set date for the next album, though there are several tracks "in the can" so perhaps some clips will be in order soon. Meanwhile, if you have not already, please enjoy our online reports (deemed highly amusing by some) and photographs of events, and more.

Another member gone
We are sad to say another member of Dorian Mirth has left our ranks. Janette has opted to take an incredible opportunity and move across the country to make her way in New York. We’re jealous she’s so much closer to Rachel than we are, but we will miss her terribly. Good luck, Janette!

Frankincense & Mirth Update
The release of the CD has been bumped back to Early 2006. We hope to be able to finish recording by the end of the year, when Rachel returns for the holidays. Even by the most optimistic estimations, there's much on the technical end to complete before the CD is ready for release. We have a few pieces in the can, though, and will get some clips up in the next little while!

Changes
Our thoughts are with Rachel as she makes her way across the country to pursue graduate studies in costume design. Of course she'll come back to visit as often as possible but we'll still miss her! Dorian Mirth will continue to record pieces for the upcoming Frankincense and Mirth album, still planned for a holiday 2005 release.

Online Market
The Scottish Festival was wonderful (report and/or pictures coming soon). We sold quite a few CDs and historical costumes. Inspired by that we are working on getting a full online store going. After we iron out the last details, look for the grand opening in a matter of days!

Scottish Festival
Just a reminder that the Utah Scottish Festival and Highland Games is this Friday and Saturday June 10-11 at Thanksgiving Point. Dorian Mirth will be playing on stage at about 3:00pm on Saturday, in addition to having a booth for additional performance and sales all day. Admission prices vary, more information can be found on the Highland Games website.
